PRODUCTS & PIPELINE Senetek’s partnerships with leading research and academic institutions have placed the Company at the forefront of technological advancements in developing treatments for the science of healthy aging. Our highly successful collaborative programs have resulted in a large and growing IP portfolio featuring important new models in treatment that span a range of therapeutic areas, including dermatology, nutrition, wound healing and erectile dysfunction. Product Update The Company’s proprietary portfolio of second generation cytokinins have shown attributes more beneficial to treatment than any predecessor compound, Senetek has accelerated the development program for this group. Pyratine-6™, one of the first of Senetek’s second generation cytokinins to complete clinical testing, has been successfully evaluated for the treatment of the signs of aging and its effect on reducing acne lesions and erythema. Based on positive results demonstrated in these clinical evaluations, Senetek initiated a clinical trial of Pyratine-6™ for the treatment of acne rosacea. This study, currently underway at the University of California, Irvine, is nearing completion. Senetek has entered a marketing collaboration agreement with Triax Aesthetics LLC for marketing Pyratine-6™ in the U.S. and Canadian ethical markets for the treatment of photodamaged skin. Agreements for other market channels and geographies are in various stages of negotiation. 4HBAP, another compound in Senetek's second generation cytokinin pipeline to successfully complete clinical testing, has proven efficacy in the treatment of photodamaged skin and erythema. 4HBAP is an aromatic cytokinin and represents an entirely new classification in this category. To date, an additional 28 compounds in this pipeline have been successfully screened and tested for biological activity and lack of cellular toxicity. |
